Last year there was outrage when a sex lawbreaker won a lottery in Alaska that was intended to help victims of rape and other sexually founded crimes. Lottery victor Alec Ahsoak, a three time sex offender, won the $500,000 jackpot. When the victor was broadcast a local television position received an internet message asserting that Ahsoak was a sex offender causing prevalent wrath.
Lottery victor Ahsoak was assaulted on a downtown Anchorage road by a person wielding a tire steel or steel pipe. Ahsoak later said he would pledge $100,000 to Standing simultaneously Against Rape. Mr. Ahsoak has gone back on his pledge and the Anchorage founded charity said they had not ever perceived from him said boss director Nancy Haag.
Ms. Haag said the group is looking forward and will not dwell on Mr. Ahsoak's broken pledge. Ms. Haag stated, "I understand that likely in the instant he likely was very excited and likely thought he could do more with his money than he actually was adept to."
Lottery winner Ahsoak, who kept $350,000 after taxes, has kept a low profile since the attack. He also said that persons need to recall that perpetrators of sexual abuse often have been victimized themselves. Some of the parents of Ahsoak's victims think that all of the money should go to his victims.
